PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (“Barito Pacific” or “the Company”) was established on April 14, 1979 under the name of PT Bumi Raya Pura Mas Kalimantan which subsequently changed to PT Barito Pacific Tbk in 2007 as it grew into a resource-based company with diversified products.

The company’s core businesses operate in power generation and petrochemical production, with industrial assets in sectors that are renewable and resource-oriented with significant growth potential through business diversification and vertical integration.

In 1993, Barito Pacific became publicly listed company and it has now transformed into an integrated energy company with multiple power and industrial assets.

In 2007, the Company acquired majority ownership interest in Chandra Asri and in 2008, it acquired PT Tri Polyta Indonesia Tbk. Further development in 2011, these two subsidiaries were merged into PT Chandra Asri Petrochemical Tbk (“CAP”). CAP is the largest and only integrated petrochemical company in Indonesia with current total production capacity of 3,458 KTPA.

In June 2018, Barito Pacific acquired majority ownership in Star Energy Geothermal Pte Ltd, a company that operates 875MW of installed geothermal capacity, the largest geothermal company in Indonesia and third largest in the world.

The company is also engaged in a Joint Venture with Indonesia Power, a wholly-owned subsidiary of  PLN, to develop 2 x 1,000MW Ultra Super Critical class power plant (Java 9 & 10), one of the most energy efficient and environmental friendly coal technology in the market.

Our property business, which is operated through PT Griya Idola (“GI”) and its subsidiaries, is engaged in the investment and development of commercial and industrial properties that support our petrochemical and power assets.
